Don’t be afraid to enter the ‘why?’
The great why question began with Jesus, when from the cross he asked God, “My God, my God, WHY have you forsaken me?” These why questions are too lofty to understand, and so we must sit and wait and contemplate, to see how the Lord will answer them. Mystery is the portal to intimacy, but often comes after suffering strips us of our potency.
Jesus told Paul ‘MY grace is sufficient for you.’ When we can muster the courage to enter the mysterious why, under the sufficiency of grace, there’s an unlimited but sadly unfrequented pasture of green, besides still water where He is waiting to feed us.
Contemplation will reward the heart with glimpses of the mysteries that surround us.
Give it time.
Give it silence
Give it solitude
He is a rewarder of those who seek Him.
